Action Vehicle Props

ELS Action Vehicles is an action vehicle company that has been supporting the Film / TV industry for the past 20 years, they came into the industry via our strong relationship with the Metropolitian Police and have supplied covert cars/vans etc for MRD Northolt ( Met Police ) for various operations within London.

The Bill required a damaged police car to cheat a shot, they approached the police who sent them to ELS Action vehicles, as they were handling all damaged police vehicles and had an extensive stock of police action vehicles. Their contact details were passed on for filming in London – 28 Days later ( Danny Boyle film), this required a reliable source to obtain action vehicles which ELS Action vehicles were easily able to do from their premises in Dagenham, Essex.

This in turn lead to winning the jobs for Hustle, Lewis, Spooks, Silent Witness and many more within the TV industry while they continued to supply the film industry e.g. Calendar Girls, SPiVs, Dog House, 007 World Is Not Enough etc.

They now have an extensive umber of police action vehicles to their name and even supply their competitors. They have established a reputation for quality service their competitors envy and whenever their prices are compared with the competition they always come out with the best price living up to their moto of setting the standard not the price.

City Bike Parking – Bad and Ugly Ones!

I recently posted an article about parking your bike in the city; as I expected, it's turning into its own mini-series. Having posted the first one, I've been all the more conscious of parking facilities for bikes when I've been out and about the place; more to the point, I've actually remembered to take a couple of pictures! So, as promised in the title, here are a couple of real stinkers.

They're both in pretty much the same place, outside a library in a suburb of the city where I live. The worse of the two is clearly not used any more (and, when you see the photo, you'll see why!); the slightly less awful one was, I guess, put in to replace it. Without further ado, here they are:

This one is merely bad, I think – but it's very bad indeed! The idea is that you put one of your bike's wheels into the bracket, and this will keep the bike securely upright. Given that the top of the stand is no more than eighteen inches off the ground, I don't think that's too likely to happen! If anyone walking past should brush against the other wheel (or even if there's a strong gust of wind) your bike is likely to be knocked over. Not the worst that could happen, admittedly – but what if you've really jammed your wheel into the bracket? Most likely result is a buckled wheel. So, no marks for stability then – how about security? Well, you can put a lock through this stand – but there's no easy way to get it through the stand and your bike frame, which is what you ideally want. Low marks on that score then.

But, if that one's bad, this one really is ugly:

No, your eyes aren't deceiving you! What we have here is a set of concrete blocks, each with an angled slot in it. The idea being that you drop your front wheel into the slot, and the bike then stands nicely upright, its front wheel held at an angle to the frame. Yeah right! As clear a recipe for a bent wheel as I can imagine. Thankfully, you don't see many of these any more – and these ones clearly haven't been used for a long time, as the slots are filled with earth and other detritus. There was a time when you'd see these everywhere – maybe there was a factory dedicated to the production of molded concrete blocks somewhere or other! In summary: hopeless for stability, no security (not even a ring in the concrete to take a lock) and a great way to end up with a buckled front wheel.

It's possible, of course, that I'm being a bit harsh here; after all, the concrete blocks are obviously something from the past, when steel-rimmed wheels with fat tires would sit securely in the slots, and bikes never got stolen. But then I look back at the first picture, which is a relatively recent replacement, and I wonder who on earth thought it was a good design. I've been past that library a few times lately, and I've seen bikes leaning against the building itself, or chained to nearby lampposts – but I've never seen a bike secured to that stand. I think that says it all…

Traveling is one of the most important activities of mankind and one that has fascinated humankind from times immemorial. With the amazing technological transformations that transportation has undergone today, traveling to the different parts of the world hardly takes an effort nowadays, with most major airlines offering customer friendly service that works wonders in enticing more and more people to engage in air travel.

However, traveling does not end once you reach your destination country. As a matter of fact traveling inside a country or a city unknown to you can provide a number of problems and hassles for the tourist whether he or she is traveling for the purpose of work or business or just as a fun trip. Most travelers prefer to have their independent means of transportation during a visit to a foreign location.

This preference is formed due to a number of reasons. They include the fact that possessing your own means of transportation is economically a more viable option for traveling within an unfamiliar city. Besides this, transportation within an unknown city can also provide cause for tensions concerning issues of security. Worried with thoughts like this while planning a trip to New Zealand recently, I chanced upon http://carhirecar.com one of the most helpful sites for renting cars all around the world. The Car Hire Group Worldwide helps you to travel in a convenient manner that lets you concentrate on the pleasures of traveling without worrying about its hassles. Easy to book, the website offers an online booking system that allows you to concentrate more on the fun part of the trip without worrying about the issues of conveyance.

As you log on through its online booking system you get to input all your details in an online form that also provides you with the approximate quotations that you will run into. Besides renting cars, hire car, the website also provides you with helpful links and tips which can make your trip a lot easier and hassle-free. You can select your pick up and drop off locations from a host of landmarks from cities all across the world. Though apprehensive in the beginning about using my credit card for online transactions, I was reassured to find that the site has completely protected online transactions with industry standard data encryption. After the transaction is complete, you receive a voucher that you can print and produce at the time of using the car.

However just in case you do not want to use your credit card online, you can also take advantage of their call centers that are scattered all around the world which allow you the convenience of the booking in a more secured manner.

As you venture deeper into the site, you can also choose your car from a number of attractive models depending both on your requirements as well as your taste. Thus, if like me, you are about to travel with your family, it would be a more sensible choice to pick on a car that would be roomy which would make the trip both fun as well as economically more viable. Speaking about the economic issues, there is a 15% discount on all the cars, which means that you can probably spend that extra amount saved on something else to make the trip more special than ever. So add the smiles to the trip with perhaps a surprise gift for your wife or that cute doll for your child!

As I embarked on the trip (with certain misgiving, I have to admit), I was surprised to see my doubts vanishing as I witnessed the wonderful after sales service and help provided by the organization to its customers. One of my friends who was about to travel to South Africa on a business trip also availed the services and was amazed to find the ease with which he managed to complete all his business transactions, thanks to the convenience of possessing an independent means of transportation in an unknown country.

Besides this the organization is also responsible for providing comprehensive insurance as well as providing the entirety of airport fees. Just in case the car you are driving runs into damage or loss of any kind, there is no need to get worked up about it as the organization also provides a damage waiver for loss or collision of the vehicle. There are no hidden costs in the entire transaction and with an organization like you can rest assured that your booking is being handled by a reliable business. So while planning your next trip, log on to the site and get ready for a road ahead that’s full of smiles!

The Great Jeep Grand Cherokee

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is a huge improvement …  My 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a lemon.  The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the first of these.  The new Jeep Grand Cherokee is really that good — at about half the price.  The Jeep Grand Cherokee has been one of America’s quintessential SUVs for more than a decade and a half.

Every surface of the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee is new and treated for aerodynamics.  The first step to correcting a problem with your Jeep Grand Cherokee is finding its source.  Aftermarket Accessories for the suv Jeep Grand Cherokee is what this location is all about .  The 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee has only small, cautious changes to the exterior but many functional changes.  My 2005 jeep grand cherokee has been in the shop since last december.

The outgoing version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee was a prime example.  I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I've enjoyed very much.  My 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee will start fine but like 2 seconds later turns off.  My 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee was in for repair for 6 months.  My Jeep Grand Cherokee was shifting hard going from reverse to forward, sometimes delaying.

Boasting enough credentials, both on and off-road, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee has been racking up the points with us.  Prices for the 2WD Jeep Grand Cherokee are based on package.  The Ram and Jeep Grand Cherokee are the first to get the good stuff, with more to follow.
